Quando Quando Quando

“Quando, Quando, Quando” is an Italian pop song dating from the early 1960s, written by Alberto Testa and Tony Renis (sometimes credited under his birth name Elio Cesari). Renis made the song famous. It has frequently been performed in English translation, with lyrics by Ervin Drake. The most notable rendition in English was by pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck.

The song has been used and remixed by many artists and in many different advertisements. In one version of the song, Nelly Furtado does a duet with Michael Bublé. There is an instrumental Latin version by Edgardo Cintron and The Tiempos Noventa Orchestra.

The song was used in the movie The Blues Brothers: when Jake and Elwood first encounter Murph and The Magictones, they are playing this song at the Holiday Inn.

Used in 2008 in the Fiat Punto advertisements mimicking the ‘Italian Job’

The title translates as “When, When, When”. Quando is the only Italian word normally retained in the English version, although some performers add another Italian word or phrase.

Lyrics

Tell me when will you be mine Tell me quando quando quando We can share a love devine Please don’t make me wait again
When will you say yes to me Tell me quando quando quando You mean happiness to me Oh my love please tell me when
Every moment’s a day Every day seems a lifetime Let me show you the way to a dream beyond compare
I can’t wait a moment more Tell me quando quando quando Say it’s me that you adore And my darling tell me when
告訴我,你何時才會屬於我? 告訴我是什麼時候? 我倆可以分享愛情 請不要再讓我等下去
何時你才會答應我? 告訴我是什麼時候? 對我而言,你代表了快樂 噢!吾愛,告訴我是什麼時候?
每一刻彷彿一天 每一天彷彿一輩子 讓我告訴你一個無與倫比的夢想
我一刻也等不下去了 告訴我是什麼時候? 說你愛慕的就是我 親愛的,告訴我是什麼時候?
